Nurse managers’ assessments about nursing education and work life's competence demands: A European multi-country cross-sectional survey

As future employers, nurse managers are in a key position to assess the correspondence between competence of graduating nursing students and work life demands. The aim present study was from perspective managers, analyze factors linked it. Among European six countries, cross-sectional survey design with convenience sample applied. Data were collected using Nurse Competence Scale. reported STROBE guidelines. Managers (n = 538, 65.8%) assessed level as good, but there statistically significant differences countries. In multivariable analysis, who had Doctoral/Master's degree dissatisfied program their country lower. Overall, seem meet demands current rather well. Further research is needed confirm connection managers’ assessment individual background factors.
